Our long wait is almost over. Finally, after almost 6 months of hiatus, our favorite supernatural drama television series, The Vampire Diaries is back for another season of biting vampire entertainment. On Thursday, October 11, 2012 the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries Season 4 is about to take over our television screens. Are you ready VD fanatics?
The finale of the previous season left us in a cliffhanger, with Elena drowned with vampire blood in her system. What happens next? Without spoiling anything, according to the show’s producers, “everything is in transition.” Elena must decide between becoming a vampire or “face certain death”. And then there’s the Town Council and local church leaders who want to rid the town of Mystic Falls of the vampires. Just like any other VD fans, I am hoping that The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 1 will reveal what will happen to Elena. With that premise, it is suffice to say that when season four premieres on Thursday, it’ll have been well worth the wait!
The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 1 entitled ‘Growing Pains’ will air on The CW at 8:00 PM (ET). It will air back to back with the brand new series in the CW, the Beauty and the Beast which will air at 9:00 PM. In the season premiere of The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Elena awakens on the morning after the accident to find the thing she dreaded most has come true – she died with vampire blood in her system and now must go through the terrible transition to become a vampire — or face certain death. Stefan promises Elena that he and Bonnie will exhaust every possible way out of the situation, but Damon is furious with his brother for letting Elena die in the first place. Bonnie pays a terrible price for her attempt to change Elena’s fate, while Damon takes out his frustration and rage on Matt. In a rare moment of empathy, Rebekah is deeply touched by Stefan and Elena’s devotion to one another. Finally, Pastor Young and the Town Council members begin rounding up the vampires and their supporters, leading to an unexpected tragedy.
The new and exciting Vampire Diaries is about to give us the vampire drama and thrill that like no other. The ‘Growing Pains’ episode was directed by Chris Grismer and written by Caroline Dries. This episode is the 67th episode overall.
