Britney is back on Glee! Yeah, I know that she’s on the X Factor, but I am not talking literally. When I said Britney is back of Glee, I mean that Britney-mania is back on Glee and it means that this week’s episode will feature songs from the pop superstar Britney Spears. The Glee Season 4 Episode 2 was given the title ‘Britney 2.0.’ The episode is the second to feature the music of Britney Spears. The first was the second season’s second episode, “Britney/Brittany”, which remains one of the show’s highest-rated episodes.

In the Glee Season 4 Episode 2, when Brittany is kicked off the Cheerios squad due to her low grades, it sets her on a rapid downward emotional spiral. Britanny is the only senior from New Direction who have to repeat his senior year. Being kicked off from the Cheerios the cheerful Britanny became temperamental that causes concern for her fellow gleeks, prompting Will to try and reinvigorate New Directions through the music of Britney Spears. As new roommates Kurt and Rachel move in to their New York apartment, Kurt reveals information about Cassandra July that could turn the tide in Rachel’s rocky relationship with the highly critical dance instructor. After Will fails to make a lasting positive impression on new student Jake Puckerman, he enlists the help of a former McKinley delinquent to intervene before Jake’s self-destructive behavior gets the best of him. Meanwhile, as Rachel grows increasingly frustrated by fiancé Finn’s lack of communication, Brody offers to help her with a “sexy” dance assignment.

The songs to be featured in the Glee Season 4 Episode 2 Britney 2.0 are “Hold It Against Me”, “Gimme More”, “Oops!… I Did It Again”, “Boys”/”Boyfriend” (a mash up), “3″, “Everytime”, “(You Drive Me) Crazy”, “U Drive Me Crazy”, and “Womanizer”. This episode of Glee is scheduled to air on Thursday, September 20, 2012 on FOX at 9/8c. This is the 68th episode overall. Kate Hudson will still be the guest star as Cassandra July.
