A brand new comedy series on HBO had just begun to give us another reason to laugh and have fun in our Sunday night. The Veep TV series is a television comedy series set in the office of a fictional U.S. Vice President. The series follows ins and outs, in the office of the Vice President of the U.S. It will give us the glimpse of what is happening inside the office of the second-highest official in the U.S., in a comical and satirical way.

The Veep series is created by Armando Iannucci and uses the same cinéma-vérité production style as his BBC television political satire The Thick of It. After a 2011 pilot written by Iannucci and Simon Blackwell, the series was commissioned for a full season. The series premiered on HBO with the Veep Season 1 Episode 1 which will air on April 22, 2012. It will be aired in the UK on Sky Atlantic in June.

In the Veep Season 1 Episode 1, we will be introduced in the public and private lives of U.S. Vice President Selina Meyer and her staff, the office goes into damage-control mode to deal with a pair of gaffes that could tarnish her already suspect reputation.

The series stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer. Together with Meyer, the series also include Anna Chlumsky as Amy Brookheimer, Tony Hale as Gary Walsh, Matt Walsh as Mike McClintock, Timothy Simons as Jonah Ryan, Sufe Bradshaw and Dan Egan, Andy Buckley and Reid Scott. Shooting for the pilot episode was completed in March 2011.
