The good Doctor is back and he promises to deliver more exciting adventures. On April 23, 2011 world’s longest -running science fiction television show and as the most successful sci-fi series of all time will return for its sixth season. The Eleventh Doctor will still be accompanied by his companion Amy Pond and his husband Rory Williams. On this season Rory will become a full time companion which make him the first male full-time companion since the since Vislor Turlough who traveled with the Fifth Doctor way back in 1975.

In the Doctor Who Season 6, Matt Smith will reprise his role as the Eleventh Doctor. Karen Gillian will also return as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill will stay for the full series as Rory Williams. Also, Alex Kingston will return as River Song, with her character revealing her true identity to the Doctor.

According to Doctor Who head writer and executive producer Steve Moffat, the future episodes of the series will feature such guest stars as model Lily Cole, Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville as a pirate and ex-Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones.

The Doctor Who Season 6 is composed of 13 episodes and will be divided into two parts. The first seven episodes will be broadcast in the spring and the final six in the autumn, with the mid-season finale being a “game-changing cliffhanger”.
The first part of the Doctor Who Season 6 will premiere on April 23, 2011 on BBC One in the United Kingdom and BBC America in the United States. The Canadian premiere will also be 23 April 2011 on Space Channel. You may also watch Doctor Who Season 6 online.
